  1. 15 minute Q&A session--free for students, book clubs, and writing groups who have read I Wanna Be Your Joey Ramone and Ballads of Suburbia.
  2. In depth discussion of either (or both!) of my books, including writing process and subject matter. For the I Wanna Be Your Joey Ramone discussion this would center around how music has influenced me and my involvement with the punk and 'zine making scenes during my teens. For the Ballads of Suburbia discussion, this would center around my experiences in the real setting of the book and my experiences with addiction and self-injury and how I survived those tough times through writing. Followed by Q&A.
  3. My writer's journey from book-loving child to troubled teen to published YA author. Followed by Q&A.
  4. Character workshop-- how to develop unique, interesting and well-rounded major and minor characters that will stay with the reader long after they are finished with your story.
  5. Ballad workshop-- an exercise to write a "ballad" like the characters in Ballads of Suburbia, starting with a song that means something to you or a fiction character you have created, I will lead you through a workshop to create a short piece or essay that gets to the core of a character or personal experience.
  6. A custom presentation made to suit your needs. For example I am also well-versed in speaking on the topic of revisions and journaling.
